I should’ve made more points about it being in the brain. If you do find that, try to get it treated immediately., the sooner you do it the better chance you have of being able to beat it.
MRIdian radiation will work on brain tumors, since it can be more targeted and not affect as much other tissue.
If surgery is a possible it may also be a good option.
If you can get on ADT it can slow or stop cancer from growing, even shrink it, so encourage your doctor to get you on it if it does show prostate cancer in the brain. That should help stop it while you wait for treatment.
Try and get an oncologist involved as soon as possible. Your PCP is not trained to treat this. You want a neuro-oncologist, someone who is trained to treat brain tumors.
If you have one Gleason 7 you are Gleason 7. I was told I had 3+4 but after surgery it was 4+3 since the biopsy only can check a small portion of the prostate. Somebody else in here was mentioning they were told it was a 7 and it ended up being a nine after surgery, not the first time I’ve heard that.
