I was actually talking about gaba.Nothing happening so far other than if anything feeling of dullness during the day.
Been few evenings since i started on Gaba Sleep not better, yet anyways.
GABA aka gamma-aminobutyric acid is NOT GabaPentin. GABA is the skeletal building block from which GabaPentin, PreGabalin/Lyrica and Baclofen are derived. Note that GABA is contained within the names of GabaPenti and PreGabalin.

I tried it years ago, but don't recall much in the way of anxiety relief. You can pretty much take it in unlimited amount from what I remember, but not if it's the form with inositol in it. One recommendation was to open say the 1,000mg capsules and dissolve the contents in a small amount of warm water first. If you try it, then try it slowly to to see how you might react and maybe slowly increase the amount if you feel any benefits.
Hi, @blueopal - I believe @raili was talking about GABA as in what is mentioned here on Web MD, which provides some helpful info on this and some things to watch out for when taking it https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/gaba-uses-and-risks.
@blueopal, I can totally see why GABA and gabapentin are hard to distinguish. It really sounds like one is a short form of the other, so it's confusing. Also, there are a number of discussions on Effexor in the same support group as this thread, the Depression and Anxiety support group. You may want to check out some of these previous discussions at https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/depression-anxiety/ or do a search on "Effexor" in the search bar at the top of any page on Mayo Clinic Connect. Another option to consider would be to start a new discussion in the Depression and Anxiety support group related to Effexor and depression and anxiety (See "Start a new discussion" a little down from the top left) about what you are experiencing.
@raili - can you confirm if what is described on Web MD is what you are asking about? Have you gotten the GABA you ordered yet? If so, how's it going?
