HEY HEY HEY! I just want to let everyone know that there was a light at the end of my bigeminy palpitations and several quick bouts of aFib from COVID. Almost to the day, One year ago in November, I contracted COVID within a few weeks I had 24/7 double/triple heart skips coming from the Mitral Valve as well as Tricuspid valve. This was determined by Johns Hopkins specialists to be related to LONG COVID. I was placed on beta blockers. They did not help as I was already taking 25 mg. I could not get my regular doctor to agree so I went ahead and researched. For two months I took 100 mg of Doxycycline each day, and 100 mg of iBuprofen twice a week. (I cannot take much of it due to asthma). I am happy to say that two weeks ago, all palpitations and irregular heartbeats are gone. ALL GONE, after almost a full year. I don't know if one has anything to do with the other or if the symptoms went away naturally. All I know is they have gone away at least for now. When I realized that COVID was causing inflammation of organs in humans, including the heart, my thoughts immediately turned to "get rid of the inflammation!" The drugs mentioned are not necessarily benign so check with your doctor. I think as long as you don't take the Motrin or whatever in any large quantity or have allergies to them, it would be ok but do check with the doc. I had not taken any ibuprofen in over 40 years. I didn't trust it and still don't. But in this case, I do think it cleared up the cardiac inflammation.
I sure hope everyone on this board finds relief!

I must say that I’m envious but very happy for your success with these meds helping you, I think I spoke with you a while back about this. I have the palpitations too since covid infection in 2022 and I knew that Advil causes me tinnitus but after I read your comment I thought I’d give it a try, I managed to take 100 mg. for about 2 weeks, just twice a week. Inevitably the dreaded tinnitus made its appearance and that was enough, this ailment has been in my life for years but I slowly learned what sets it off, anti inflammatory medication and also aspirin and alcohol. It’s sometimes a trade off with meds, what bothers me most but it’s all a pain in my butt, figuratively speaking. This is a very good thing for you because no one wants their heart to beat too fast. Perhaps you will help others with this discovery, sometimes we have to take charge of our own health.
