Hi @robertwills,
What an awful situation you are living in! I've had awful neighbors too but nothing like you have! I'm glad you think that there may be an end to it soon. But it still wouldn't hurt to put in an official complaint in writing and in person to the local police department. Also tell the Mayor, the council and your legislative representatives. It is important to let them know how threatened and frightened you are; and that it's affecting your health. It might also strengthen the police officer's case against these crazy people.

It wouldn't hurt to carry a big pointed (very pointed!) umbrella too. It makes a good weapon; even in the summer! Also some mace or if you can't get mace, insect spray. Strong insect spray.

The other thing to do that will probably work the best, is to pray and pray a lot! The Bible talks about " Taking on the armor of God and praying fervently in the evil day to withstand the fiery darts of the wicked." (Not a direct quote.) That's about what you are going through. Whenever, you start to feel anxious on the way home, just say or think, (God can read your thoughts to him. You don't have to necessarily speak out loud.) "God, please be with me." God will be with you and you'll be safe.

I wish you the best. Let us all know what happens with your awful neighbors.
I'll say a prayer for you.

The right people in the local jurisdiction now know all about this situation. As I indicated earlier, the housing laws can make it extremely difficult to get these people out. It can take a very long time, too, You can't just tell them to leave. What may happen here is that they cause something so serious that they can't be here if they want (and hope that it doesn't involve me). If not that then if they continue their behavior they will be eventually be forced out through the legal process. My guess is there is a zero chance of this behavior going on for a long time. When it ends or by Christmas day I will post an update here.

I will also add that your suggestion to contact "legislative representatives" would probably not result in an immediate stop to the issues but it is very sophisticated in that the main purpose of government is the safety of it's citizens. So it should do something for the overall issue of crime which should be seen and felt.
