Forteo causes hypercalcemia. In most it is transcient, lasting a few hours after the injection. Hypercalcemia
at a higher levels causes nausea. While I suspect that to be the cause, it may not be. But if you are having sustained hypercalcemia, you'll want your blood levels of calcium measured. IF you are taking large doses of calcium, or large doses of vitamin D, you might try reducing those. It's good to let your physician know and ask about checking calcium levels.
I've been on Forteo for almost two years without experiencing nausea. But I am always afraid to taking too much calcium and so probably don't take enough. Transcient hypercalcemic nausea is noted in the clinicals. Sustained hypercalcemia was not signaled in the clinical trials, though cases are reaching the literature, so it is
I hope you can resolve the nausea because Forteo is an amazing medication.

I have been taking 40 mcg of Tymlos for 8 months. Friday night I tried 5 clicks, 50 mcg and all the side effects came back. At night, worse ringing in my ears, fast heart beat and visual sort of hallucinations. In the morning, headache and nausea. Saturday night and Sunday night I went back to 4 clicks. 2 1/2 days after the 5 clicks, I still have nausea.

I did for sure. But just ate lighter meals and stuck with it. I have to tell you it was well worth it for the gains I made. The more I got active, it seemed the less tummy upset. Hope you feel better soon!
