Covid vaccine doesn't stop you getting Covid as you'd know, having had it 3 times despite being vaccinated. It just makes the illness less severe for most people. If your objective is not to get Covid again, you would have to take other protective measures, like not going to public places so much and wearing a mask, and asking people you meet with to let you know if they have been unwell or exposed to someone who has. I still minimise my trips to public places and always wear a mask. I have not had Covid.

Yes I know this. It’s the severity that I am trying to minimize. It’s a safer way to build protection: Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is a safer, more reliable way to build protection than getting sick with COVID-19. Long Covid is believed to be based on viral load. The first time I had Covid there was no vaccine. And yes I do all the other things including wearing masks, avoiding crowds, etc. getting the vaccine helps prevent serious illness and that’s what I am after.
