Hi, @csues - your doctor sounds very careful and precise. Do let us know what she says about the type of UTI she finds you have.

Your husband seems like a great help with his research for you.

Are you saying that you feel better with your UTI when you drink 64 ounces of fluids? Are you up most of the night because you are drinking more fluids during the night, or going to the bathroom as a result of your fluid intake?

Good morning @lisalucier. It seems like if I stay on top of my fluids the burning and pain isn't as bad as when I drink a smaller amount of fluids. Since my surgery in April 2024 I go more at night, every 3hrs. Because I was drinking my fluids late yesterday I was up about every 2 hrs.
I mentioned to my husband a few minutes ago if I don't hear from my obgyn today I will contact her on Oct 30. I figure this has given her a week to get the information she needs for a treatment plan. Not sure what or how long you can go with a uti before getting treatment.
PS before surgery I could go the whole night w/o bathroom needs. I need to remember I'm 76 and as we age we go more at night I was told 🙂
