Thanks Ruth!
Have to say too that I suffered a 'compression fracture' of my back years ago 1991 (31 yrs of age) where I came to a realization that staying active, any activity rather than simply sitting whether for work, or watching tv, etc. ....any activity is beneficial. And exercise after meals is imperative!
Another 'game changer' for me was in 2017, while working for Northwestern Mutual, Milwaukee, WI, in their new building, I discovered the benefits of 'desks that have the ability for the employee to raise and lower' their desks. I searched for this same option for my home office and found Versadesk.com where for approxiamtely $350, a 'desk riser' could be set atop of another existing desk giving you the same options, to 'raise' and 'lower' the the desktop that holds up to 40#s e.g. a computer terminal & laptop.
Just a thought for folks experiencing orthopedic issues that might be eleviated by the abililty to raise/lower the desk throughout their day.
One more thought...something that doesn't cost anything - turn on some good tunes (I like smooth jazz because there's no vocals) and dance, simply dance....move around.
Take a break in your busy day and listen to smooth jazz, or any music you like and move around, dance in your kitchen, livingroom, outdoors, just dance!
Thanks,
Patti
p.s. I'm not endorsing any particular product or company, simply sharing what works for me.
Of course! Why didn't I think about dancing? Thanks!
