I agree, listen to your body. I had 5 Evenity injections, one month apart. The first two didn't seem to have any side effects but after the third one a whole lot of side effects came upon me. I should have stopped the injections then. FYI I have other maladies I deal with and am 88 years old. I have Neuropathy, high blood pressure, Lower back pain, Hyperparathyrodism and Hypercalcemia.
After the 5th injection I found myself noting disabilities and bone pain and muscle spasms. Other side effects were and are increased back pain when standing or walking (I walk with a cane), on my lower legs and the back of my thighs and knees. there were skin patterns like there was a rash that had dried up and I I am unable to find anything that will take those patterns away. The skin eruptions were worse in areas where the bone is closer to the skin surface, like the shins on the front of my legs.
The bone pain was mostly a night and sleeping event and was and still is in my feet (it increased the Neuropathy pain), hands, fingers, back, shoulders and hips.
I then had several episodes of Acid Reflux and extreme phlegm in the back of my through with some coughing, which was new. I haven't ever had a breathing or coughing events before.
Incidently, I had a female situation show up after the fifth injection in the back of the vagina and had to deal with tissue drying suddenly and slight bleeding. That is somewhat trying to heal with an appropriate hormone cream.
I have an appt with my thyroid doc this coming week. She is the medical professional which encouraged me to go with Evenity after reactions having four Prolia reactions over a two year period. I have a system which is over sensitive, which is the wording used by doctors to describe my side effect situation. I am done with any of these injections. I have no family history of bone problems. My Mother and her Mother had long lives without breakage of bones. They lived to be 90 and 98, respectfully.
At this stage of my aging, I am trying to eat better and get physical therapy to help my bones and muscles in check. Sorry for the long read.
