I've had depression my entire life. Now I'm 70 yrs old. It's been drug resistant for so many yrs. Some yrs ago ECT was helpful. Last yr it was ineffective. I finally found a very good psychiatrist that my therapist suggested I see. I waited about 10-15 yrs waiting for her to accept new clients. She's excellent! She listens to me. She found a combination of meds that actually are effective. There is always hope. Hang in there. It WILL get better.
