@lopus

I know exactly how you feel, I do hope that you can find out what's wrong.
Have you tried pain medication? I know it's just a band aid but I don't know how I'd cope without it.
For several years now I have had all over body pain, all the time, plus truly debilitating fatigue. My whole life has changed.
My doctor has me on 750/350 Hydrocodone Acetaminophen four times a day.
This does help. (at 78 I am not concerned with the addiction aspect) I tolerate the medication pretty well but I would really like to know what is wrong with me. The only rheumatologist in my area diagnosed Willis–Ekbom Disease. (restless leg syndrome) I do not have restless legs.
My lab work and scans are both normal. Could this be fibromyalgia, and if so what sort of doctor should I see?

@lopus a rheumatologist diagnosed my fibromyalgia.

I'm glad the Hydrocodone is helping you. I want to add something about pain meds in general. My mom died of CHF at the relatively young age of 71. Her life really went down hill when she got a power chair and stopped walking, and then again when she went on Oxycodone (which is a bit stronger than Hydrocodone). A year later she died and I'm certain that the meds hastened her death because she just stopped doing things. HOWEVER, she died pretty happy. She was not in pain at least. If she had not been on Oxy I think she could have lived another ten years....but would that have been a good thing? Honestly, I think it all worked out the way it was supposed to. So, approach pain meds very carefully with an understanding of the pros and cons.
