Many of the EVS workers are lower income and have numerous struggles going on in their lives, and in this scenario of mine the majority are black/ hispanic and due to skin pigmentation have a higher tolerance to the types of industrial strength cleaning chemicals used in hospital/ medical facilities. I only took the job to supplement my SSI in semi retirement, but am scandanavian with fair skin. It is sad to think an employer like Aramark would use people in that fashion to pad their profit levels by using unsuitable gloves for PPE, which sell for 4 cents in bulk pricing on amazon and state on the box of gloves they not intended as a barrier against chemicals.
