Anybody done the injections?
Physical therapy and topical creams don't seem to be working for me, so it looks like I will be taking the injections. The doctor says it will be four injections, done under anesthesia. I absolutely dread being put under. Has anyone had to undergo this? What can I expect for relief?

Good afternoon. I am on two 30mg morphine er tablets, five 325/10 hydrocodone tablets. Two Generic celebrex tablets and two gabapentin 300mg tablets at bedtime. I've consulted with three different neurosurgeons that recommended fusions to my lumbar spine and my surgical spine. Unfortunately my medicare advantage plans does not agree. I guess I stay on the narcotics for the rest of my life.
Thanks for replying. That sounds pretty tough for you. All the best.
I just finished a series of 5 spinal injections. I am getting better. The last injection was painful at the time of injection and after for about a week. I have chosen not to have anymore at this point in time. What dr. prescribed pain patches work the best, please.
what are you injecting? the drug? for what physical problems.
There has to be away to get the surgery completed. Reach out to your state senator. Is there a medicare office close to you? Go there, often. Ask for help. Write to the president. Maybe Mayo Clinic can help you. Mayo performs miracles in so may ways. Go to Mayo Clinic in Rochester. There are other Mayo sites.

I am also watching my sugar intake like a hawk. Pretty much sugar free. I eat salads--alot. Try to get protein every meal. Beef only once a month. Achieving a super healthy diet has been hard for me. I really want some of my homemade brownies. But I have restrained. Good luck to all of us.
