Spondylosis of three parts of my back. What is it?

It all depends on if you have symptoms. I have spondylosis, degenerative disc disease and congenital stenosis and have had symptoms start in my early 40s after having my son at 40. My cervical and lumbar spine are affect and I had surgery on both due to severe symptoms affecting quality of life. I had surgery at 53 and 55.

Spondylitis is osteoarthritis of your spine. Yes, it is tied to aging but not everyone has symptoms until later in life. There are different therapies and treatments (non surgical and surgical).

Have you consulted a rheumatologist for testing and diagnosis.?
There are several disease mechanisms involving spondylosis. Testing for autoimmune arthritis is indicated for prognosis and treatment decisions.

I haven’t had much luck with rheumatologists. They did a lot of bloodwork that was expensive and noted some inflammation and positive ANA/RA factor plus missed my Hashimoto’s and antiphospholipid syndrome elevated markers/diagnoses.

Despite having significant osteoarthritis in my entire spine (told by one orthopedic doctor that my spine looked 20-25 years older than my age…I was 42 at the time and told my spine looked like that of someone in their mid 60s), the rheumatologists never said anything about my osteoarthritis or offered any treatment/suggestions.

How do you get tested for autoimmune arthritis?

Since you were ana positive for RA, a separate test for rheumatiod factor should have been ordered. If it had been ordered and you'd had a low titrate the rheumatoid factor should have been repeated periodically.
Even the basic medications for RA are effective when taken to prevent damage to the joints.
I'd repeat the Antineuclear Antibody Test then test specifically for any positive results.
