TKR is a gamble
I've had TKR on both knees with one successful and the other a horror show. The unsuccessful knee surgery was 6 1/2 years ago followed up with PT and home exercises for 12 months. The knee was never right with my doctor never acknowledging a problem. Ten months ago I decided to have revision surgery with another surgeon and again the PT and home exercises routine. I've made the conclusion that this knee will never be right and I'll have to live with the effects it has on my quality of life. The successful knee surgery was 3 years ago and after the problems with the unsuccessful knee I decided to avoid the pain of PT and just do the minimum. Go figure!

What part of "Please do not reply" don't you understand. This is not a game of who has the last word. You keep repeating yourself about standard recommendations. If you had a good TKR I'm happy for you, but don't dismiss the FACT that there are many with problems. As you say, there is risk, and any risk is a GAMBLE. You are now blocked!
You're certainly not a very gracious person. Maybe you should reread my post now and take your own advice.
And don't presume to tell anyone on here what to say or when to say it.
And ummm, no, I'm not blocked.
I'd like to insert a gentle reminder of the Community Guidelines (https://connect.mayoclinic.org/blog/about-connect/tab/community-guidelines/) that help keep the tone safe, supportive, inclusive, and, above all, respectful.
Please keep in mind that we only have words on the screen to communicate our experiences, thoughts and support. Without the benefit of tone of voice or body language sometimes the messages may be interpreted incorrectly. And sometimes we bring the bias of our own experiences when reading the post of another member.
I encourage you to review the guidelines and pay particular attention to guideline 2. Here's an excerpt.
2. Remain respectful at all times.
- Exercise tolerance and respect toward other participants whose views may differ from your own.
- Disagreements are fine, but mutual respect is a must.
Since we only have words and words matter, please choose your words kindly and be aware of unintentional bias that you may be bringing into the conversation.
Moderation of Connect also includes members helping out with reporting anything that needs a moderator's review.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm a new member and had a bad TKR experience and wrote "TKR is a gamble." I wasn't prepared for the attack I received for expressing my views and being labeled a troll. I appreciate your indulgence dealing with people's emotions.
