How are you now? I have been on and off (75mg) 10 times since the beginning of 2018. It works well, but it was giving me extreme high blood pressure and cholesterol. Just like you, every time I go off of it I will go through the initial withdrawal symptoms of 2 to 3 weeks of hell then I would seem to get better for 2 months, but with each passing month I would get sicker and sicker. Very similar to autoimmune symptoms. Out of desperation, I would go back on it and within 2 weeks I would feel back to normal. Then the same cycle would begin where it would make me hypertensive (I am talking 172/110) and I have to get off of it. In fact, I am going through it right now. I just don't know what to do. I just want my life back.

My two periods of withdrawal and symptoms match yours. I was on 75mg max for many years; I managed to return to 50mg the last time I stopped, and am trying to hold steady at that before discontinuing again. My guess is you are tapering too quickly to remain successful. I urge you to find the book The Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines by Mark Horowitz and David Taylor, or search for the information online, some of which is provided through this forum. Best of luck to you.
