I do miralax one dose and a dose of mag citrate powder mixed together every day at 7:39 pm then at 5 am I take Linzess with three tall glasses of water and I have a daily BM. You have to drink one glasss of water first then the next one with the Linzess and follow with a third. I then eat breakfast at 5:30 on the dot. I eat one good size of Ezekial bread with gobs of almond buttter and honey for breakfast daily. It starts working at 5:45 am. I have Been able to avoid hospitalization for obstruction. My issues are mostly in the left upper colon(I see my stomach swell up in that area daily , but I think the issue is where the small intestine meets the colon. Every MRI I’ve had shows lots of stool there and I had a positive Sitz study for slow transit colon. I use to be total vegan, eating like a rabbit but only had two hard BM’S per week and they were a struggle! I also have a Hx of endometriosis with lots of scar tissue on my intestines from that limiting their movement( peristalsis). I did have a surgery to get rid of some of the scar tissue but things were so stuck that they would have had to do multiple colon resections which would not be good. Even though my thyroid levels are fixed with thyroid meds it doesn’t help the movement. I also found that if I eat pear, spinach and kiwi fruit daily it helps. Lots of fiber and water all day and walking. If I don’t follow this regime to the T it does not work. Some people say they get bad diarrhea with Linzess but those are the people that don’t need it. They don’t know what real constipation is!

Thanks for sharing. According to x-rays and 3 CT scans there is nothing wrong with me. Just came on at age 67 for no reason I can come up with. Having 2 scopes next week.
