How to speed up motility

I have a bowel condition called Pseudo Small Bowel Obstruction where apparently the muscles in my bowel sometimes do not work properly to move the waste through my bowel which causes an obstruction. My GI doctor has put me on two medications, 1. prucalopride and 2. pyridostigmine. These have helped me a lot but have just had another 3 night hospitalization due to another obstruction. Does anyone else have this medical problem and if so are there any other possible answers or helpful suggestions? I also take Restoralax when I haven't had a regular bowel movement.

I never had this much of a problem, but I did have much constipation and abdominal pain with it for a very long time. Keeping a food diary help as well as incorporating more water and soft vegetables and fruits into my diet. I do not eat a lot of grains, high fats or bread items. I eat more protein, soft foods and well cooked fruits and vegetables. I also take Magnesium Glycinate and Magnesium Citrate each night. Sometimes I will have a little prune/apple juice with my food during the day (couple of sips). These things are what has helped me along with abdominal massages for the ileocecal valve.

Are you able to eat food with this type of motility problem ? I’m trying to figure out what to eat
