@snugglebugs

I hope this goes well for you. I too have chronic pain at unbearable levels now, I can no longer sleep on my back, or either side of my hips. I have had pain since childbirth which is now 38 years. I am now 70 years old. For the last 3 years my pain has been increasing due to my stoop, because of my Osteoporosis. See my pain specialist again on Tuesday, for hopefully more treatment, on Morphine and opiate patches and still in pain. Only getting a few hours sleep per night, it is so difficult to explain to my partner the level of pain I am in. My pain is in my very lower spine with sciatica.

Increasing pain as we age is no fun! I have had some physical therapy for
pain in my shoulders. It helps. Maybe you should try that. At almost 74...

I am sorry that you have had to endure this pain for so long. Finding the sourse of chronic pain can be a real challenge. Mainly due to the fact that most doctors either don't have the time to really dive into your problem, or they just don't care that much. I just had my SCS trial yesterday. As my luck goes, the doc couldn't get one of the two paddles inserted along my spine due to scar tissue from a previous surgery. So, only one paddle. The rep tried to get good coverage on my right leg, but I don't think she was able to achieve that. Today I don't feel much different. Same old pain. I was hoping that taking my meds this am would achieve some relief, but I don't think it has happened. As the old saying goes, "If it wern't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck".
Thanks for responding. I hope you are able to find something that haelps.
