Type 2 diabetes and sweat

Posted by lulo @lulo, Sep 16, 2022

Prior to finding out I have type 2 I would sweat profusely of which I was told it to be menopausal. Past that now and still sweat profusely. I have read that it is a sign of electrolyte imbalance due to inadequate diet which lacks vitamins. Anyone in this group experiencing this?

I get night sweats quite often in my 70’s! Sometimes my blood sugar is very low but not always. Don’t know what it is causing it.

Before going to bed check you blood sugar..... if you get low numbers in the middle of the night it is a sign that you may have to have a "snack" before going to bed. I know no one wants to have high blood sugar readings BUT it is very dangerous to have low readings also.... especially at night. Start recording eah of the following... The time, blood sugar readings, carb intake.... morning meal - noon meal - evening meal - AND snacks. Pre bedtime readings and any occurance that happens during the night. There are people who have to be in the upper 190 range before going to bed and will wake up in the morning with blood sugar readings of 95...... By keeping a record you will be able to determine where YOU have to be before going to bed.... Record
keeping is very important especially if LOW readings have occured.... not saying high readings are good either.... just saying keeping a log will help "fix" that problem....... GOOD LUCK....
