Atypical Femur Fracture -Stopping Prolia -Relay drug?
Atypical Femur Fracture-14 days ago. Prolia injection due next week.
Intolerable side-effects from Actonel and Fosamax in 2018: Bone pain, gerd, chest pain. On Prolia for six years. Now need relay drug. Question: Since I had such difficulty with bisphosphonates in the past is there any reason to think I could tolerate Reclast?

What about evenity?
I can't tolerate oral bisphosphonates but can tolerate Reclast so far, but at a reduced dose with one hour IV hyration and infusion over one hour. Maybe due to your previous issues you could try a 2mg dose.
I have had nondisplaced stress fractures of the neck of both of my femurs and have a rod in each leg. I am taking reclast and have not fractured since.
My 83 year-old hubby who has a history of not being able to tolerate much of anything has tolerated Reclast just fine ever since first infusion last April (6 months ago). He's scheduled for second one next April.
I’ve had at least 6 and possibly 7 lifetime Reclast infusions - all were well tolerated. Prior to the last infusion, my doc shared his concern for atypical femur fracture incidents with Reclast, due to the number I’ve had.
Also did not tolerate orals or Tymlos, but had no problems with Evenity.
Cheers!
