I am a bit confused by your post. Yes, we all know everyone is different. What's a life savior for me can be a nightmare for you, obviously.
I have been on Mayo Clinic Connect for awhile now and have never felt anyone is telling anyone "what to do" and, certainly, no one is being unfair. The purpose of this forum is to reach out, see if other folks are experiencing what you are (whatever the subject matter may be), and "offer" suggestions only. Or "offer" personal experiences related to one's particular post. That's it. We are offering our "experiences and relating" to others facing the same problem/dilemma to see if any particular thoughts would be fitting to ourselves. We all know this and know this is NOT hands down medical advise or expecting anyone to "follow" what we say! It is simply sharing and relating to our fellow human beings who may be dealing with exactly what we are dealing with in our lives.
What's not appropriate here? It is exactly what a Support Group is suppose to be!
No one is judging another participant at all!
True, not everyone can take antidepressants. They actually make me worse. Glad they helped bnancy. Wouldn’t it be great if there was one solution for all of us?
Low dose Klonopin helps me, and I seem to be able to stop and start with no dependence issues. I know it’s a problem for other people.
I believe this issue to be adrenal related and not much is known about how to manage adrenal surges. I’ve worked with a variety of doctors and have yet to fully solve this issue.
