On the other hand. I’m fearful .

You make me question whether or not it’s true that we can’t maintain bones naturally.

You suggest that we can maintain bones naturally. How do we do that?

What is your proposed plan?

Personally I believe we will continue to lose bone after menopause but we can slow that loss with diet, exercise, supplements and generally reducing inflammation. If we are not in danger of fracture and have scores that are in a better range. Keith McCormick first wrote "A Holistic Approach to Osteoporosis," and his more recent book "Great Bones" is encyclopedic. Margaret Martin at melioguide.com is helpful on exercise. Talk to your doctor but at -1.5 or -1.0 I would not medicate but monitor closely. I believe many docs are not medicating osteopenia these days.
