I was diagnosed in mid Aug. On methotrexate, one day into 3rd IVIG treatment, hydroxycholorquine….i only have pain right above both knees. Feels more like burning….when the meds start building up in my system does this pain subside at all? Drs says meds take time to build in system. So I feel like it’s a waiting game. Using heating pad to help some as well as Tylenol/ Advil. Thoughts?

Please do not take Advil or any product with ibuprofen. Taking methotrexate and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen together can increase the risk of renal toxicity. Good luck.

You might like to try ice. Where there’s oain there’s swelling..get the swelling down the pain goes down. On Amazon they are gel filled ice packs flannel covered. Wonderful!! Called Core Products Soft Comfort CorPak. I live by them and have given everyone in my family and all my friends one. God bless!!
