My doctor advised me to stay off the bike for 6 weeks. 5-1/2 weeks later I tried my stationary “spin” bike with a “male friendly” seat. It hurt; a lot. I tried every week for another 6 weeks. Three months after surgery I was healed enough to ride without pain. In the interim I switched to the recumbent trike that I bought in 2023 after going through a spinal fusion. Some days I ride on 2 wheels and other days on 3 wheels.

I also got my pathology report back in 6 days from Mayo, although I went to Mayo Phoenix. That really surprised me as the report was dated on the 6th day which was a Sunday. I don't know but suspect, since final signoff on it was 4:30 pm on a Sunday, that they might have an internal standard they're meeting. I certainly never expected to get an email/text (I don't remember which) notifying me it was on the portal on a Sunday afternoon. This is just another example of the benefit of going to a first-rate institution.
