Tylenol should not be taken for more than 10 days in a row …info is on the bottle.

@loriesco high uric acid can mean:
Gout
Kidney disease
Heart disease
High blood pressure
Diabetes
Fatty liver disease
Metabolic syndrome

You might want to see what is causing the high uric acid and proceed. It could be your complications may indicate something else is going on rather than or with PMR.

I have tried Tylenol arthritis with very little relief. Now that I finally had an MRI, I was diagnosed with a labrel tear and tendonitis. I no longer am using prednisone for PMR or pain relief. Instead, I use Ibuprofen 200 mg. daily or sometimes every other day for pain relief.

I know what's causing the high uric acid: inherited. I also increased purines this past two years in try to lower my cholesterol (which I did to 187!) but think the sardines, tuna and salmon had too much purines for my diet!
Dr.s told me never to take Ibuprofen for over 3 days. It did land me in the hospital with poisoning and that was when I was put on opioids for chronic pain (disc degeneration).
I only take Tylenol/with Oxycodone (Percocet) for 25 years. I have labs drawn all the time. It is no problem and the only pain reliever I take. The dose is very low. It is okay and approved for chronic pain (CDC). I take 650 mg or less per day. I don't take from a "bottle" straight.
High uric acid means gout in my case. It's familial. It is responsible for my whole body inflammation, which has been misattributed to my OA for 30 years!
The Tart Cherry Capsules is controlling my gout symptoms (which was recommended HERE!) and I am retesting for the Uric acid in 2 months to see if it lowers the numbers.

"Based on a recent study, it was found that after the FDA's mandate in 2011, which limited the amount of acetaminophen to 325 mg per tablet when combined with opioids, there was a significant decrease in hospitalizations and the proportion of acute liver failure cases caused by acetaminophen and opioid toxicity. These findings highlight the impact of regulatory interventions on patient safety and medication-related adverse events.[30]"
I understand why you were given the ibuprofen for your tears. Good luck with that! I would suggest not allowing yourself to depend on it for too long. You will feel like crap when you stop for 3 days. I went through withdrawals in 2001! Unbelievable. Not anywhere close to when I don't take opioids! amazing.
