Not sure why your PCP would elect a Hematology consult before pursuing other specialist. Infectious disease would be an option if WBC remain elevated. What about the low potassium.....did anyone address that? Health anxiety is very common especially if you've worked in health care or had unaddressed health issues with no resolution. Basic and extensive lab work can be very revealing. I believe there used to be a lab test called Spectra-cell that analyzed lab based on almost ever component in one's body and how the minerals etc were utilized and/or low or high. That in itself may reveal something. Keep at it until you find an answer.

Thank you so much!

I agree, it seemed an odd referral from pcp, especially as last time it was high she was adamant it was nothing to be concerned with. Then this time I had to request for it to be checked again, and now she’s concerned and fixed on that way to pursue it. Seems like there are other avenues. The last couple visits with pcp have left me bit frustrated with lack of clarity on what to do. I know that is common too, especially when weird cluster of symptoms arise.

Also no one has ever explain why potassium was low, that is one of my most frustrating things! Because I know that is bizarre for it to happen out of nowhere for a health adult taking no medications.

I do have some chronic ibs type symptoms with several food sensitivities and since regular more loose stools, but this seems extreme to cause low K.

I will see how I can pursue this testing that you mention, sounds like it could be very helpful.
