Except for abnormal EKG, I’ve had similar symptoms since last year. I’m still not sure of the causes. My neurologist referred me to rheumatologist and it’s not believed to be autoimmune, which is a relief.
I got the body wide twitches soon after I was scheduled to see my first neurologist. After emg was normal they left quickly. Recently, I’ve a few return. I’m now suspecting anxiety as the culprit. I suffer with health anxiety, but do well with talk therapy.
I have been diagnosed with post covid syndrome and B12 deficiency (taking daily treatment). Have you had covid? Have you checked B12 level? Checked thyroid?
The awakenings with arms/hands going to sleep has been a big problem for me. It’s intermittent, but can disrupt sleep. I also had excessive hair shedding, but that has stopped. I’m seeing dermatologist and on Minoxidil. I have other symptoms too of post covid, but my taste/smell disorder has improved dramatically.
I hope you get some more responses and can figure out what’s causing your symptoms. Is your BP normal?
Thank you for your response. I’m really glad I posted, it is helpful to know not alone.
Glad it’s not autoimmune for you.
I was sick for 3-4 weeks with a respiratory bug just a few weeks before the initial palpitations started, I never tested for Covid but am highly suspicious that is what it was, as everyone in our household had it and it took all of us awhile to recover, different than a typical bug.
B12 and thyroid have been normal, BP has been normal too.
only labs that have been consistently off are wbc and neutrophils, and glucose. All high.
