Shockwave or Softwave Therapy for Neuropathy Pain?

The drs have not said what kind of neuropathy I have-still have one more appt with the rheumatologist; but, none of the other drs have said what kind of neuropathy I have-I was told I had severe neuropathy after all of the other tests run at the Laureate Medical Center here. I'm like everyone else on this website just trying to find a relief from the pain. Now that I was not accepted at Mayo Clinic (my dr sent the referral) because their reply said that they would essentially be running the same tests as Laureate ran and probably have the same conclusion. Please tell me why people go to Mayo for neuropathy if they cannot actually do anything more than tell you that you have neuropathy? I am on the same drugs that alot of the other people are taking; but, with little success! (Pregabalin-Duloxetine.Tramadol, etc) Just looking for alternative treatments and not be scammed again)Shooting pains up to my calves! Do you, personally, have any suggestions?? Thank you!!!

If anyone tells you they have any answers they are lying. There are ZERO anecdotes on any of these forums that I have scoured of anyone finding relief. Everyone tries the same handful of repurposed drugs like tricyclic SSRIs and Gabapentin combined with every supplement known to man including minerals like selenium as if that’s going to make a difference. I’ve taken all that crap and still do and haven’t had any relief from the pain since it began years ago. Two caveats. I have seen anecdotes of people with alcoholic or diabetic neuropathy have success because they can target the cause. Idiopathic is a death sentence without the death.

@bettyg81pain, Forgive me if I've already shared this with you but the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy has a good list of what has helped some people with neuropathy on their website here - Complementary and Alternative Treatments: https://www.foundationforpn.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Complementary-and-Alternative-Treatments-Revised-2020-final.-1.pdf

get off the tramadol, opiates are bad for you. I am afraid of permanent dementia using them. I am on ozempic too. I think my neuropathy is from diabetes2. I have sores on my toes that are not healing not even with antibiotics second round. today, I feel pretty good not much muscle strength though, because I took ozempic shot last night. I think some of tihs could be from statin use for 2 years, which is reversible.
