When I had bad reflux, I made homemade alkaline water. A small pinch (1/4 tsp) of baking soda dissolved in plain water. Directions on side of box. It worked ok, in conjunction with everything else I was doing. Reflux can really play havoc with your well-being. You have my sympathy.

Thank you for acknowledging homemade alkaline water—it proves that it is a classic remedy for acid reflux!
I just prefer the bottled kind because the water is purified and it usually has added electrolytes also that makes it taste good! Smart water makes a alkaline water and also Target has one that tastes real good. I think it’s a better alternative to a lot of herbs and spices. I only take a Pepcid at bedtime as a preventative cause I have a hiatal hernia.

Thank you so much for posting this! I've been doing this the last few nights and it has made a world of difference - no more acid reflux. What a game changer. I can even have (some) wine with dinner. I've been missing that, a LOT
