Does anyone have brown patches on their legs between ankles and knees
I have asked neurologists, dermatologists etc. if anything can be done to soften the appearance of these discolored areas on my legs. Most doctors feel it is caused by poor circulation. They suggest wearing thigh high compression hose. That will help the circulation, but not the appearance of my legs.

Thank you for sharing this link. I found it very helpful and am amazed that it was never explained to me by my doctor. I will be asking this question this week. Best wishes to my fellow sufferers.
I have them from ankles to below knees and I don’t think this is normal. I’m 86. Any expert opinions?
It’s been shown that people with underlying chronic venous insufficiency in their lower extremities can have excess secretion of melanin or skin discoloration. In any case you should have it checked out.
Buy OTC "DerMend" moisturizing bruise formula - it works!
I have the same problem. Legs look terrible!!
Derm recommends Cerave Psoriasis lotion in a pump container. Seems to help. It has several ingredients that make them fade and is very moisturizing (unlike the plain salicylic acid ones that I find drying and aggravating). I usually just put it on the spots/areas, let it dry, and use a regular moisturizer/spf over that. Sometimes I just use this before bed but 2x day fades the spots faster.
I also use an SPF that has both titanium dioxide and zinc oxide as I find the white cast covers them a bit. LOL. I prefer Eucerin or Cerave as they moisturize and don't bother sensitive skin.
Dermablend has excellent makeup, concealers, etc. Really stays on. Sometimes I have to use makeup remover to get it off. These products really do conceal.
You might have chronic venous insufficiency. I just read something on the Cleveland Clinic website. Go on Google and look up chronic venous insufficiency. Reddish brown discoloration of skin is mentioned. Good luck🤞
