My husband had the same thing about two years ago. They inserted a tube to drain the fluid. It took a while, but he got better. They said it was due to his challenges with swallowing food—he aspirates some of it. Speech Therapy can help sometimes.

Thank you for your comment. When you say it took awhile, do you mean the actual draining or the time required to recover from that, as in days?

My husband has an awful time trying to eat so that must be the reason for the problem. I’m happy to know that it might not be something ‘worse’. We are still investigating…
