All Foods Causing Bloating?

Posted by doors4ever @doors4ever, Oct 4 5:06pm

I've never had a food allergy. Now, for some reason everything I eat is causing painful bloating within just a few minutes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You must see a gastroenterology. Good luck.

i have that too. i take digestive enzymes which helps some. i take them after i eat, but taking them or a probiotic 20 minutes before eating is better.

Could also be gastroparesis (stomach doesn't empty food properly into intestinal tract); so as said above, check with a gastroenterologist if possible.

Have your GI doc check for SIBO

I have developed this bloating problem also. It foes seem to be as soon as I eat - anything.
I do have a gastroenterologist who isn’t being very helpful.
I have done my own research and I think that I may have something called ‘Abdomino-Phrenic Dyssynergia.” It has to do with the abdominal wall not flexing and food not passing from stomach.
Maybe research it and see if it describes your condition.

I had bloating with meals at one time. I was tested for SIBO and also had some slow gastric emptying. I would say test for both. Probitotics and eating a diet low in FODmaps really helped the most. Also, eating every three hours instead of through the day, keeping a food journal and staying regular on BM's. Hope they find out what is going on for you.

Working with a wonderful dietitian, I have tried numerous digestive enzymes to deal with bloating and gas. I have SIBO and methanogen overgrowth, and the best bloating relief I have found is Atrantil. It’s available online. I take 6 capsules a day, either 2 with meals or more recently 3 in the morning and 3 after dinner. Methanogen overgrowth causes significant bloating and Atrantil helps reduce the population. I hope you find something that works, it’s awful to “change” pants sizes by 3-4 inches from a meal. Good luck!!
