I have not been able to use 7% saline, but I have been using the 3%. After using the 3% I find , even after doing huff coughing and other breathing exercises I don’t get much sputum up. Several hours later it seems to kick in and I am able to expel quite a bit. Has anyone else had this delayed reaction?

I probably do. I know what you mean, but I think that it still helps even if it is delayed. It feels a lot less harsh than 7%. I also do very simple floor exercises, really not even an exercise, where I elevate my legs higher than my chest. If you can do that with or without a pillow under your rear, I find it very effective and works pretty quickly.
