Only last year? Maybe after a few more years he can explore normal again but one year out he is still healing. As for worries: last week I was concerned that my cancer returned, but then the issue cleared up. However I am only twenty-three years out so perhaps someday soon I will stop thinking every malady is cancer. I'll let you know.
Just keep on working on health, eating well, exercising, loving your family and friends, being thankful for each day. The eleventh unwritten commandment, "Thou shall not worry." My advice from Sir Winston, "Courage!"

Thanks so much, Sir. You encouraged us during the Cancer Diagnosis of my husband until treatment last year. I was the only caregiver and it was so hard on my schedule that I did not have time to thank all in the HN group. Driving to all the appointments and treatments was so draining that I also got sick. The TORS surgery and radiation were successful and he is in remission now but he has all these side effects. He will have another PET scan this December. Plus, he crashed his right finger in another accident. Anyway, thank you and the rest of the faithful volunteers in this group. May the good Lord bless us all!
