Use of the fentanyl dermal patch.

Has anyone been prescribed the fentanyl dermal patch; and if so, is it effective in treating pain management?

@kenc

Pharma seldom presents a cure just some half-baked treatment.

Yes, shameful we have all contributed unconditionally for decades to be gaslighted intentionally by big pharmaceutical interest. I for one will vote and support revision hoping to open Medicare to fair trade,.

I get it. I use cannabis late in the evenings hoping to dull my pain and not waking up hourly staring at my watch. Thc is so controlled by government and pharma lobbying that quality has so poor. Makes 70 era stems and seeds seemingly ok. I live in.FL so I have no comparative controlled medicine to try.

My Doctor recommended BUPRENORPHINE PATCHES ...It may work better as a Pain Reliever, However It can Cause SEIZURES. I did my research and spoke to my pharmacist and he and I agreed that it would be Hazardous for me to take Buprophenine Patches being that I have already had SEIZURES.
BE CAREFUL to do your research on these Products before just using or taking them.. KEVIN

Yes. I went into Serotonin Syndrome due to pain clinic missing the Pristiq I was taking. After telling pain clinic tgree times why they where confused as to why. Be careful with this patch. Sadly now I cannot get off Opiods without it.

It can be done, but it is a long process without some discomfort.

Yes, I was on 150 mcg of Fentanyl patches for severe and chronic headaches. The patches did help alleviate the pain but it also deadened my motivation.

Yes, I was on 75 mcg patches for about 9 months for severe and chronic migraines that didn’t respond to anything else. The Fentanyl patches were God sent. However, long term I think it deadens everything and made my depression worse. Finally got help through Botox Injections and methadone for a few years. Finally I no longer need the methadone because the Botox injections every 3 months seems to do really well although I’ve had some breakthrough headaches recently due to the stress of having to move 4 times in 3 months.

Do you think botox injections could help painful peripheral neuropathy in your feet?

REPLY

I really don’t know about Botox injections for neuropathy in your feet. I got the original injections from a pain management doctor in Colorado Springs who unfortunately has passed away. I now get them from a neurologist in Denver. I would certainly ask your doctor about it. I do recommend a pain doctor or neurologist. Best of luck to you.

Ditto for being on PreGabalin as far as the motivation goes. However it seems that I need it in order to avoid feeling miserable.
