Has anyone’s knee replacement popped out of place

I had knee replacement surgery 6 years ago. It was wonderful until January of this year. My knee popped out of joint. I went to the er and it was put back in place. It happened again in April. I’ve heard this is quite rare. I’ve gone back to my surgeon a few times since. He’s really been no help. I also do not have a patella he’s blaming the dislocation on that. Anyone else having or have had this happen to them

How can you not have a patella. I've never heard of that. I've heard of sometimes resurfacing the backside of the patella and covering the back of it with a patella button. But I've never heard of removing it altogether. Is this really a thing or is there a misunderstanding somewhere?

I was in a head on collision and it was crushed so badly that it had to be removed

Hu. I hadn't thought about loss due to traumatic injury. I was thinking in terms of so eibe undergoing total k we replacement. Are you left with a functional leg or a disabled one?
