Anyone have Da Vinci laparoscopic surgery for ostomy reversal?
Anyone undergo a Da Vinci surgical laparoscopy reversal procedure? I’m considering it. Thanks.

Yes, I underwent that surgery in March one year ago. The doctor who was trained in it told me the complications would be far less than regular surgery and the time would be shorter. I was lucky I didn't have any complications so I guess it worked for me
Thanks.
I had laparoscopic surgery both times - for my resection and then 6 months later for the ileostomy reversal.
My worst scar is from the ileostomy itself - but the rest of my stomach is really not scarred at all. Highly recommend ✅
Thank you so much.
I did mid-July. Surgery took 8.5 hours. All has gone well but now about 7 wks post surgery, my abdomen is very hard and I have pain particularly around incisions when abdomen pressed. I asked my surgeon how long this may go on. He said “You’ve had major surgery”. Then said perhaps another month. Anyone one else have pain? Thanks.
@a009507, how are you feeling now that some more time has passed?
Still have pain mainly in the largest incision. Surgeon said to give it a month. If not better, I doubt he will be concerned. Will probably just have to live it. Thanks for asking.
I had this 10 years ago. I'm not sure[haven't run it past a doctor} but I think a vein got pinched or narrowed in the procedure.
I had no downtime and no pain. I don't think the blood is getting to my legs like normal.
