my personal good days and bad days living with Neuropathy
This is my personal opnion but I still expect a moderator to remove my message. For me good days are when I ignore my daily feed that is in my inbox email from the Neuropathy support group and my bad days are when I read what has been written lately. I find the messages very negative and without hope and depressing. Everything is a scam or at best doesn't work. Well I believe in some of the "scam" products. My condition is better and I believe is it because of help from those who are not M.D.'s. I believe M.D.'s are taught that medicines are the only answer. Interestingly, I see as many negative comments about medicines as anything else. I think each individaul has to go exploring all options, medical and non medical.

Red light therapy device is similar to a heating pad only with red light dots. The red lights reduce inflammation. I purchased mine from Amazon. I have found it to be very effective although not long lasting.
There are so many on their website-which one did you order? Thanks, Betty
Which “scam” products have you tried and had success with? Maybe some of us would have success with them also???
@bettyg81pain, I'm not sure if you have seen the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy's list of treatments but it also contains a link to an Alternative Therapies for Peripheral Neuropathy PDF file you can print for a reference. Here's the page on their website - https://www.foundationforpn.org/treatments/
Betty: I did go to the foundation site your were sent to and I did find both things I am using which are: "The Rebuilder 300" and the red light low lwvel light therapy. I have been using them both as a take home product. I really don't know if one of them or both help me but I used to not be able to sleep at night but with these therapys I do sleep. With the rebuilder I wear the electric socks every morning for 30 minutes. The red light I do at night. I think both can be bought over the internet. Good lucj to you.

Let us know which “scams” have worked for you. I’m going to start looking into them also!!
Would you please tell me model names and which red light therapy you ordered and did you get them on Amazon?
Thanks
Betty: I do not have a model number but it is manufactured by LZR Ultrabright and it has 10.0 W optical output. I got it from a chiropractor who specializes in neuropathy in Minnesota.
Bill
Would you please tell me the price? Thanks!!
I guess that since you’re in today’s group, that we are catching you on a bad day. Ouch; sorry for that, we all have them. I, for one, fully share your frustration in that those whom we feel should already have this all figured out, are nevertheless, only able to offer what ultimately may only appear to be palliative treatment. Support groups such as this one, can either help or antagonize an individual’s outlook, and who knows, that rare nugget of advice we extract from the journey of others may ultimately provide us some temporary comfort to us. I say temporary comfort because unless one is suffering from a pinched nerve, which may be surgically rmediated, let’s face facts; there is otherwise, no cure for this condition. As for the scams which are out there, if only these were limited to neuropathic cures and treatments, and not part of every part of daily living…
God Bless,
Ken
