try tart cherry capsules. My 30 years of osteoarthritis pain was gone overnight. thanks to someone HERE's suggestion. Asked my doc to do a gout (uric acid ) lab and YUP, that is what it was. Can you believe it?! went to so many freaking docs. What a waste of time! Yes, I have OA but it was the gouty arthritis inflammation causing the joint pain.

I was diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis more than 30 years ago. PMR was diagnosed 15 years ago but I'm currently off Prednisone and on a biologic.

My uric acid level is elevated but my doctors aren't sure if it should be treated or not. I actually passed a kidney stone composed of 80% uric acid. My rheumatologist treated me with allopurinol for a year but it didn't seem to have any effect on my pain level. Allopurinol was stopped.

Now my uric acid level is high again. My PCP is debating on restarting allopurinol but hasn't decided yet. The urologist who is monitoring my kidney stones says from a urology point of view, my uric acid level isn't her realm unless it is in my urine.
