Every time I skipped a dose I got nauseous and would continue taking it. I landed in the hospital for the second time with serious side effects from Cymbalta and made up my mind to get off it one way or another. The first hospital stay was for serotonin syndrome and the second for low blood sodium. My primary care provider prescribed Ondansetron, an anti-nausea drug which helped but didn't completely eliminate the nausea. My friend who had undergone chemo told me to chew ginger gum. It took about 2 weeks before I quit completely. I hope you have success.

Thank you! It’s the brain zaps that are the worst for me! I’ll give it another try. My doctor suggested that I begin by taking 30 mg instead of 60 for a month and then begin taking the 30 mg every other day for a month, scaling back gradually until I could quit altogether. I did get to 30 every day. But, couldn’t reduce the dosage any further. Thanks again! I’ll give it another try.
