Reclast infusion affecting eyes
I had a Reclast Infusion 5 weeks ago, and had a rough time with many side effects. I am doing better except for some fatigue yet. I went to my eye dr today for regular exam, and he was concerned that my eye pressures were significantly elevated. I am concerned that my infusion had some effect on my eyes. Has anyone had this problem after a Reclast infusion?
Thank you!

I have heard of patients having uveitis after a Reclast infusion. Uveitis can cause elevated pressures. I think that they were given low dose steroid and that quickly resolved the reaction. I'll look for that posting.
I am assuming that since you started the prednisone eye drops that your vision has improved, and is now hopefully back to your baseline. Based on my knowledge and experience, I would think that if you should receive a 2nd infusion of zoledronic acid 2 years after your first infusion, if your physician follows my suggestions above, you would be unlikely to get a 2nd episode of uveitis, but you should also discuss this with your ophthalmologist, who might also support prophylactic steroid eye-drops when you have next infusion.
endodoc
This is the only person I've heard of with increased pressures. Endodoc conducted the clinicals for Reclast. I don't know if this is useful, but your eye doctor might have an idea.
