@predictable

I just posted an omega-3 comment on your other discussion topic tonight, Jim, because I found a lot of encouragement in the NIH research report you posted there. You mention "conflicts" in study results on omega-3 fats' effects in heart disease. My sense is a little different -- not so much conflict as chaos! The studies seem to run off in many directions, rather than collide head-on. Not sure the difference is salient, but it has me thinking. In my a-fib-driven congestive heart failure, the only symptoms have been a loping pulse and an occasional swelling of one foot from edema. I'm a devoted manager of my fat intakes, with omega-3 as my favorite. Your NIH study report gave me a sense of serendipity in discovering that omega-3 may be why my CHF is making no inroads!

I saw that and responded in the other thread. Right, chaos. Different with cancer where there is contradiction. Since I have to worry about both, I tend to hold my fire.
I started this discussion at the same time as the other because I wanted to see if inverting the topic would get more responses. We'll see.
Glad to draw some optimism from this. This is coming at it from another angle but might be more cause for optimism.
