perhaps this is peri-menopause
and it seems like it can be different for each of us, even as there was variability in puberty and onset of menses
a complete physical with blood work seems in order
are you being treated for your anxiety? is this a diagnosed disorder? or what you assess as your issue?
estrogen and all the other hormones affect all aspects of our biology, our gut microbiome, and our brain
there are competent doctors, many of whom I follow on IG or Substack, who are OB-Gyn or urologists with insight into the changes we're experiencing
there are several excellent recently published books (library, Amazon, etc)
There's information on the Menopause Society website, https://menopause.org/ a professional society of MDs and practitioners in womens health
they just had their 2024 meeting, so lots of news coming from that
