Painful stinging in feet after waking
When I wake up from sleeping or even after a short nap, I get this painful stinging problem in my feet. This only happens as I mentioned. It does not happen at any other time

How do I get rid of this problem.
I don’t have sugar problems nor any other symptom driving foot. Neuropathy, but I have it. What’s that natural remedy. - no meds
@johnsticco
Do you have diabetes?
You may need to get tested for small fiber neuropathy. A neurologist trained in skin punch biopsy would take small skin samples from upper thigh and calf/ankle to confirm. You should also have a neuropathy blood panel done to see what it shows.
Small fiber neuropathy on its own cannot be cured but you can/should treat the underlying cause to prevent its worsening (diabetes, vitamin deficiency like B12, vitamin toxicity like B6, etc.).
It is common to feel nerve pain in your feet after getting in bed/lying down and off your feet. The pressure on small fiber nerves is lifted and tissue expanding/blood circulation changes sensations.
You can take alpha Lipoic acid and Acetyl l carnitine supplements and use capsaicin nerve pain cream on your feet to help manage symptoms. They work for me.
Hello @johnsticco, I would like to add my welcome to Connect along with @dlydailyhope and others. What you are describing sounds a lot like Plantar fasciitis, especially if it happens only after you wake up and take a few steps with your feet. Here's some information from Mayo Clinic.
"Plantar fasciitis typically causes a stabbing pain in the bottom of your foot near the heel. The pain is usually the worst with the first few steps after awakening, although it also can be triggered by long periods of standing or when you get up from sitting."

Have you seen a doctor about the pain you are having in your feet after waking up?
Hello @chanarosa, Welcome to Connect. Sorry to hear you also have neuropathy. It sounds like you don't have to take any medications for your neuropathy but you are looking for natural treatments to treat your symptoms. The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy has a good list of complementary and alternative treatments here - https://www.foundationforpn.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Complementary-and-Alternative-Treatments-Revised-2020-final.-1.pdf.
Have you been diagnosed with neuropathy? Do you mind sharing a little more about your symptoms and any other treatments you have tried?
Neuropathy in my feet seems to bother me only at night when I've been off my feet for an hour or so. This is not uncommon as I've read where others experience the same problem. I do take Gabapentin before bed, but also leave my feet uncovered, or just covered with a sheet, and I find that keeping my feet cooler at night works for me most of the time.
after sitting at the computer for 3 hrs my feet go more numb and then my legs up to my hips. I have had left hip replacement, spinal fusion also
Welcome @courtneykaye, Do you mind sharing a little more about your diagnosis? Did the numbness start after your spinal fusion?
No, the numbness started years beforehand
If you only have numbness, there is another another discussion that might be helpful.
