Welcome to Mayo Connect!
Diverticulosis consists of small bulging pouches in the lining of the intestines, most commonly the large intestine.
The older we get, the more common it is.
They don’t usually cause a problem unless they get infected- leading to diverticulitis, which has to be treated.
Diet advice usually includes added fiber.
Regarding IBS, it’s not uncommon to fluctuate between D and C.
What advice have you gotten from your doctor?

To increase fiber and maybe try a celiac diet if I want. But I’m not ready to try that yet. Thanks for your response
