Testosterone: Is everyone's level in the low numbers?
Recap, I have stage 4 Metastasized to the bone. 18 months in. Had chemo, get Firmagon monthly, Xgeva quarterly, take Abiraterone and Prednisone daily. There are always posts on having fatigue on this or that med. I search low testosterone and bang can cause fatigue. Last test had my testosterone at < 3. Is everyone's level in the low numbers? Work day I get about 9-10k steps, weekend mostly 3-5. I get we need to push forward but don't understand how some are running marathons. Thank you and Best to all.

Orgovyx only has one dosage 120mg.
They do have a pretty good deal if you are not high income, you can get it almost for free. I know people have done that for over a year.
They do cost about $3000 a month before insurance, but it is low when covered.
So high-load metastatic, but still castrate-sensitive. That second part is very promising (though there are lots of effective treatments available even if it progresses to castrate-resistant some day).
If figured it was high-load because of the chemo. When it's oligometastatic (just a 1–3 metastases, more or less), it seems more common to treat each one separately with external radiation. When it's more widespread, it seems more common to use chemo and/or Pluvicto, because it's not practical to target all of the metastasises separately with external radiation.
Either way, it's amazing we have so many effective treatment options in 2024.
It's an interesting progression for treating prostate cancer with ADT, from permanent surgical castration originally, to temporary "chemical castration" via injections, to just a simple daily pill. I'm happy to be at this end of the history. 🙂
end of the year I'll be retiring,, I checked one site of medicare advantage plan, Orgovyx would cost me over $800 a month, so I guess I'll be sticking with the Firmagon shot..lol thanks for all you do to give support to everyone. Best to all.
Is everyone s testosterone in the low level you asked? Mine is 4.6 per the MO . I , too take Arbiterone/ prednisone-17 months now. FYI
In. Us you might trade in hipa privacy for orgovyx as they want access to med records of people on orgovyx for research on efficacy.
In reading all the comments and replies, I noticed a large part of recommended treatment/advice has been naps. I have been a practitioner of the TM (Transcendental Meditation) technique as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for 51 years. Since being diagnosed with Advanced PC in 2018, i want to highly recommend this practice. It greatly reduces the fatigue from AD meds much more than a nap. 20 mins. Twice a day. I am not a teacher of TM and do not profit in anyway from recommending the practice. Just want to offer some help. Peace and Love to all.
$2800 a month suggested retail. With my Medicare Part B it runs me $800/mo. As my co-pay.
But as many have said, the 120mg pill is a pleasure compared to any kind of shot and it works! It’s worth every penny - just depends on who’s paying for it😂!!
If you are on Medicare, you should not have to pay $800 a month for the full year. There’s a limit of $8000 this year, that you have to pay, but that $8000 is calculated to include what the provider has to pay for it, the remainder of the $2,800.
This year I paid $2300 for my first month of Darolutamide, which retails for $13,000. That was all I’ve paid for the year. That hit the $8000 limit and I have paid zero dollars for all my drugs since that day, and that includes what I pay for Orgovyx.
Next year it’s a $2000 limit and also includes what the provider has to pay.
Hello all...happy first day of Autumn. I've been taking Orgovix, 120mg/d for about two weeks. Some hot flashes at night but mild and brief. Is anyone on a three month supply of Orgovix? As with other prescriptions, that would be very convenient especially for traveling. Thanks and all good.
