70 year old just diagnosed with osteopenia, -2.2 in lumbar.
Endo put me on fosamax, everything hurt, and could not do anything. Now wants me on prolia, they are different, but have the same side effect of "back pain". Also starting jatenzo (trt) which should help the bones and anemia.
I am not that bad yet, should I see what the TRT does before starting prolia ( and possibly have months of pain, if anything like fosamax, I don't think I could take the pain for that long.
And thoughts ? Experience with pain on fosamax and no pain on prolia ?
I could not continue fosamax for the same reason. I’ve only been on Prolia for 2 months and have no side effect to date. I know it’s early but I’m optimistic at this point.
