Question regarding floppy colon and wheat flour.
I have been told I have a floppy colon. I also know that crackers, heavy crusty bread, some pizza crusts and most recently seasoned bread crumbs ( no more than a half a cup) really cause severe constipation. Are they related and I’m very curious as to the reason those foods cause that problem even though I am not allergic to wheat.

Is this a dumb question or does no one have an answer for me?
Very good question!! I google and google answers to all this I've suffered constipation all my life.. recently (I'm 70 now) it got so bad I got down to 98 lbs.. (wish I' hadn't put on soo much weight.. but up to 144 now) .. I went thru the "leaky gut " deal with a nutritionist several years ago..the final final outcome of 5 years is a diagnosis of tortuous solon and some other stuff.. they tell us to eat fiber.. then they tell us to do this and that.. what I've learned is gluten can be a problem.. I'm not allergic to wheat and not Celiac.. but I struggle with it to.. and gluten free ..well just doesn't taste too good.. so you can be gluten intolerant ..and not allergic..perhaps you are intolerant to gluten..I hope this helps..but you do have a very valid question!! i'd like to know myself!! Prayers!!
Very frustrating that no one will offer up any thoughts on our problem. I have a consultation with the Dr who did my colonoscopy in a couple of weeks so I can ask her my questions. I will let you know what I learn. In the meantime if I stay away from those foods I am managing fairly well.
Yes!! Very frustrating!! Thank you for any information you can get! Prayers for you!!
