Vomitting mucus

Posted by anastasiak @anastasiak, Sep 19 8:08pm

Hello.
Since I got pregnant, nebulizing makes me nauseous even thinking about it. Lately I gag and throw up while coughing. I make sure I nebulize on an empty stomach, especially in the morning. The vomit that I have looks exactly like mucus that I expel from the lungs but in much bigger volume. There is no food particles, no water, just mucus-like substance. I am not a stranger to throwing up, it did happen in the past (although infrequently) when I got food poisoning or stomach virus, and I never saw this type of substance. I am starting to think - what if it really is contents of my lungs but I think it’s vomit? Is it possible that I have stomach full of mucus?

@anastasiak Another day, another new question...most of us are well beyond out childbearing days, so this is not something we have dealt with.
I think this is a question for one of your docs, and should be asked with a sample of the vomit available for examination.

So sorry to hear you are having this problem along with having BE. Hope things settle down and change for the better and your doctor has a suggestion that helps.
